Despite there being a vaccine to prevent Hepatitis B, HBV remains a global health problem. Hepatitis B can be acute and later become chronic, leading to other diseases and health conditions. In addition to causing hepatitis, infection with HBV can lead to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Intended Use
The kit is designed for in vitro quantitative detection of hepatitis B virus nucleic acid (HBV DNA) in human serum samples.
It is used to assess the response to antiviral therapy and evaluate the treatment efficacy by monitoring the baseline levels and changes of HBV DNA in the blood of hepatitis B patients. The test result should not be taken as the sole base to evaluate a patient's condition and must be used in conjunction with the patient's clinical presentation and other laboratory tests for comprehensive analysis.
This product should not be used for blood screening.
