Product OverviewThe BT2 is a new, miniaturized orthodontic device designed for the treatment of severe, skeletal deep overbite and asymmetrical malocclusions. It is positioned and bonded on the palatal aspects of the upper central incisors at the incisal-third of the crowns.
System Components- BT2 device: Central component for deep bite and asymmetric malocclusion treatment.
- Active self-ligating bracket: Second component of the system.
- Initial i-Arch wires: New wires with light forces and a higher vertical than horizontal dimension, improving torque moments closer to the center of resistance at the upper and lower incisors.
- 2 vertical elastics: Placed at the buccal segments in rhomboid-patterns from the upper canines and first molars to the lower first premolars and lower second molars.
Clinical Applications and Results- BT2 is highly efficient chairside and effective for Rapid Bite Correction (RBC) and posterior disclusion.
- Recommended for rapid opening of overbites for a minimum of 4 to 6 months.
- Automatically raises the vertical dimension and reduces muscle hyperactivity, permitting extrusion of the buccal segments into the excessive freeway space.
- Helps reduce asymmetry, shifting the left side from full Class II to end-to-end, and improves midline alignment.
Key Features & Technical Specifications- Miniaturized design for ease of placement and patient comfort.
- Central device for a 4-component system targeting severe skeletal mandibular overclosure with deep overbite.
- Ready-made metal construction for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommended usage duration: minimum 4/6 months.
- Improves vertical dimension and muscle relaxation for optimal orthodontic outcomes.
