Description

ExcellBone Active™ is a resorbable, porous bone void filler made from a combination of bovine collagen, beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP), and bioactive glass. The bioactive glass helps create an ideal surface condition for stem cells and osteoblast attachment. It possesses a trabecular structures that resemble the multidirectional interconnected porosity of human cancellous bone. ExcellBone™ Active is provided sterile. Indications for Use Intended to be used for the filling of bony voids or gaps of the skeletal system e.g. the extremities, spine, pelvis, etc Intended for use as a bone void filler for voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure Indicated for use in the treatment of surgically created osseous defects or osseous defects resulting from traumatic injury to the bone Should not be used to treat large defects that in the surgeon’s opinion would fail to heal spontaneously Strip Type Size Volume 6.0 x 2.0 x 0.5 cm 6.0 cc 10.0 x 2.0 x 0.5 cm 10.0 cc Block Type Size Volume 6.0 x 2.0 x 1.0 cm 12.0 cc 10.0 x 2.0 x 1.0 cm 20.0 cc
