A bronchoscopy is a procedure that is useful in aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating lung disease. A bronchoscope with an attached camera and tube is introduced through the nose or mouth and fed down through the trachea to the bronchial tree, to visual the detail of the bronchial tree and surrounding lung tissue.This module will explore the proper steps to perform a bronchoscopy procedure. Including both Learn and Test modes, the online simulator will test your ability to assist in performing a bronchoscopy procedure. Practice the steps of the procedure as often as you want until you are confident. Describe the pre-procedure considerations for bronchoscopy. Describe and demonstrate how to assist with a bronchoscopy procedure. Describe and demonstrate how to monitor the equipment and patient during and after the procedure. This means they are available at any time as long as the learner has an internet connection.
