In most cases, you don’t need a full WSI. You just need a small region or just what you see in the microscope (your Field Of View). This smaller area allows us to scan at a resolution you wouldn’t dare try for a whole slide. These images are clearer, sharper and provide the highest quality to the AI processing system. Many image systems offer lots of features but require you to manually adjust them each time to get the quality you need.
