Cathmark® suction catheters offer a method for neonatal suctioning. Each Cathmark® package has a bar graph that is based on the infant’s weight and acts as a guide in determining the maximum distance (in cm) for safer catheter insertion. The catheter calibration markings facilitate proper tip placement, helping reduce the incidence of pneumothorax in neonate suctioning.
The catheter is calibrated in 2 cm increments to facilitate proper placement.
A large I.D. allows greater suction efficiency and the clear thumb valve enables easy visualization of secretions.
A soft distal tip intended to reduce tissue trauma
Eyes close to the tip maximize suction efficiency.
