This specially designed ventricular catheter is meant to be inserted into the brain. There is a stylet so the catheter will remain steady during insertions. To ensure accuracy in the procedure there are lettered markings in the catheter. There is a slotted suture clamp which is meant to provide fixation. A metal trocar for tunneling, a Luer-Lock connector are other features of the EVD Catheters.
