OverviewDeveloped by an airway surgeon, Aeris® addresses slippage in airway stenosis. The exclusive non-slip bone-shaped balloon with hubs on each end ensures safe, controlled dilation under endoscopic visualization. The catheter is designed to provide uniform radial expansion while minimizing risk during airway dilation.
Key Features- Single-lumen catheter — enables fast inflation and deflation.
- Broad range of balloon sizes — suitable for pediatric and adult anatomy (5–18 mm).
- High-pressure options — 5–10 mm balloons rated up to 17 bar; 12–18 mm balloons rated up to 10 bar.
- Exclusive non-slip (bone-like) balloon shape with end hubs to prevent slippage during dilation.
- Color-coded Luer-lock connectors — match inflation device bar settings to reduce improper inflation.
- Sold in single packs to simplify hospital inventory management.
Procedure / UseUnder endoscopic visualization, pass the Aeris® balloon catheter through the glottis and center it over the stenosis. Inflate the balloon to the target pressure while observing diameter, shape and position. Monitor pressure with the gauge on the inflation device and keep the proximal balloon end proximal to the stricture during inflation. The balloon provides controlled radial expansion over the stenotic area to maximize clinical outcome and reduce rupture risk.
Color-coding and ConnectorsLuer-lock connectors are color-coded to correspond with the appropriate bar setting on the Aeris® inflation device gauge, reducing the risk of incorrect inflation.
