Processes container closures — vial stoppers and caps, syringe plungers and needle shields, cartridge lined seals — combining washing, siliconization, sterilization and drying in one GMP solution. A wide range of closure transfer methods are available to reduce risk of contamination associated with manipulations. Automated line clearance and closure counting support batch integrity and faster changeovers. More than 200 systems are installed worldwide.
Typical loads
Suitable for processing a wide range of container closures, including:
Vial stoppers and caps
Syringe plungers and needle shields
Cartridge plungers and lined seals
Gentle handling for delicate closures
Closures are processed in small quantities within basket compartments mounted on a rotating carousel. Parts are made of polished stainless steel with smooth edges to support uniform fluid distribution and help prevent abrasion and clumping, including for delicate components such as aluminum lined cartridge seals.
Automated line clearance
Before each new batch, synchronized cameras verify that the baskets are empty. This provided automated and documented line clearance, reduces the risk of cross-contamination, and protects batch integrity.
Particle and endotoxin removal
The SPE Series achieves high particle and endotoxin reduction through an advanced washing concept that provides full, dynamic coverage of every closure. Optimized fluid movement with alternating flow patterns improves cleaning performance in less time.
