OverviewThe MAGiC catheter is a robotically navigated magnetic interventional ablation catheter for minimally invasive cardiac ablation procedures. Used in conjunction with Stereotaxis’ robotic systems, the MAGiC catheter is designed to provide unparalleled catheter precision, reach, and stability when diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias.
Key Features- Contact Detection: Integrated eContact Module provides data on catheter tissue contact
- Low-Flow Uniform Cooling: Helical fluid channel distributes irrigation fluid evenly for efficient and uniform cooling
- Optimized Navigation: Optimized magnet design in catheter tip and distal shaft supports intuitive and responsive catheter navigation
- Gold Rounded Ablation Tip: Rounded tip provides consistent tip-tissue contact from any angle
PrecisionMAGiC’s 1 mm / 1° precision reduces positional error by navigating directly from the catheter tip rather than through handle-to-shaft force translation, improving targeting for complex ablation lesions.
ReachThe catheter’s flexible shaft, free from pull-wire constraints, enables access to anatomies that are difficult to reach with manual catheters, accommodating multiple twists and turns without compromising steerability.
StabilityMAGiC maintains approximately 15 grams of consistent contact force throughout the cardiac cycle by magnetic attraction to tissue, reducing the force variability seen with manual catheters.
Indication for UseThe MAGiC Magnetic Interventional Ablation Catheter is indicated for cardiac electrophysiological mapping, delivery of diagnostic pacing stimuli, and creation of endocardial lesions to treat supraventricular tachycardia (e.g., macroreentrant atrial tachycardia, focal atrial tachycardia, atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia, and atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia) in patients with congenital heart disease where vascular or target chamber access by conventional manual catheter navigation is limited due to anatomic abnormalities and/or prior surgical interventions.
Use with Stereotaxis RMNSMAGiC used with the Stereotaxis RMNS (Robotic Magnetic Navigation Systems) is intended for use during radio-frequency ablation to create local lesions in cardiac tissue for treatment of arrhythmias, for electrophysiological mapping, and for delivery of stimulation pulses.
