Stem Titanium self-locking
This Surgival self-locking stem is inspired by the classic self-locking stem to which unique specifications have been added to offer greater benefits.
The range is manufactured in Ti6-Al4-V alloy and High Nitrogen stainless steel with a mooth
surface finish on the stem for cementing. The stems on which cementing is not required are
covered on the third proximal, where the contact with sponginess is greater, with a hydroxyapatite (130 µm) or titanium plasma spray projection (150 µm), with the two third distal parts completely smooth.
The Surgival self-locking stem's flat geometry declines in the shape of a cone. This provides great anti-rotational stability and sufficient elasticity so that, added to the materials used in its manufacture, it is improved by a lengthwise groove that increases the stem's anti-rotational stability since it is well fastened with bone cement on the cemented stems or by trabecular bone in the non-cemented stems.
