Product Details

Surtex Instruments' Schepens Orbital Retractor is a surgical device utilized by ophthalmic surgeons to reestablish the anatomic proximity of separated retina from its underlying tissue in retinal detachment cases. This instrument is featured with a flat serrated handle, which ensures a firm grip, fitted with a blade provided a large indentation. The surgeon utilizes this retractor to perform the scleral buckle procedure, in which the operator pushes the sclera against the detached retina aiming to collapse the space created between itself and the retinal pigment epithelium. This instrument is available in a 15cm size. All our orbital retractors are manufactured utilizing precise techniques and the finest stainless steel, ensuring premium quality, autoclavable and long-lasting instruments at our customers' disposal.
