C‐Reactive Protein (CRP) latex slide test is used for the qualitative and semi‐ quantitative measurement of C‐reactive protein (CRP) in human serum. Number of Tests: 100 tests Testing Procedure: Manual Storage Temperature: 2‐8°C Sensitivity: >0.8 mg/dL Linearity: 25 mg/dL Expected Values: Healthy individuals: 0.02‐1.35 mg/dL Mean value in adults: 0.047 mg/dL Limitations of Procedure: Reaction time is critical. If reaction time is exceeds three minutes, drying of the reaction mixture may cause false positive results. Freezing the CRP Latex Reagent will result in spontaneous agglutination. Intensity of agglutination is not necessarily indicative of relative CRP concentration; therefore, screening reactions should not be graded. A false negative can be attributed to a prozone phenomena (antigen excess). It is recommended to check all negative sera by retesting at a 1:10 dilution with glycine buffer.
