Description

SUTUR’LINK® is made of strands of high density polyethylene (UHMWPE) braided with a blue marker wire made of polypropylene to better tailor the product. SUTUR’LINK® is crimped with a needle at each extremity: One round needle, 3/8 x 25 mm, intended for suturing tendons and ligaments One triangular needle, 1/2 x 40 mm, intended for trans-bone reinsertions and tuberosity fixations. ADVANTAGES High tensile strength Biocompatible Non absorbable Stables knots Adapted needles Easily visible (color) Optimizing foam packaged INDICATIONS SUTUR’ LINK® is indicated for repairing or reinforcing ligaments, closure and/or ligation of soft tissues, and tuberosity reinsertions. PROPERTIES VERY HIGH MECHANICAL PROPERTIES SUTUR’LINK® has high mechanical properties due to its composition and its manufacturing process. SUTUR’LINK® is made of several strands of high density polyethylene braided together. This leads to obtain a high strength suture perfectly uniform on all its length. MARKER During braiding process of polyethylene strands, a bleu polypropylene strand is intimately and regularly inserted. Final product is easily locatable in case of association with others sutures. NON ABSORBABLE SUTUR’LINK® is non absorbable and does not undergo in situ degradation. SUTUR’LINK® is specifically built for strong repair and in cases where long term stability is required like for humeral tuberosity insertion. BIOCOMPATIBILITY High density polyethylene (UHMWPE) and polypropylene are well-known products and of clinical common use since long years.
