Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses acoustic waves to treat various musculoskeletal conditions.
Shockwave therapy is a multidisciplinary device used in orthopaedics, physiotherapy, sports medicine, urology and veterinary medicine. Its main assets are fast pain relief and mobility restoration.
Powerful and Portable
A high-impact physiotherapy unit, designed for convenience, without scacrificing potency. Kept in an aluminium suitcase, Shockwave is as portable as it is powerful.
Intuitive touch controls make choosing from one of the 7 adjustable preset reference solutions easy and efficient.
Originally designed to fragment kidney stones, without the need for invasive surgery - Shockwave emits pulses of energy that are delivered safely to a focused area on the body, improving metabolism and promoting the formation of new blood vessels, hastening the body’s own natural healing process of damaged tissue.
The new blood vessels improve blood supply and oxygenation of the treated area and support faster healing of both the tendon and bone. Essentially, the Shockwave catalyses the healing of tissue that had not yet repaired naturally.
The effects of shockwave occur across several levels to accelerate healing:
Cell Level Change: shockwave stimulus affects the chemical environment of tissues at a cellular level.
Blood Flow Change: Normal blood flow is critical to the healing process, and shockwaves create a revascularization effect.
