The splint is designed for use as a therapeutic and preventive device for fixation, protection and keeping the ligament (bone) apparatus and soft tissues at rest. The LUX series splint uses soft, breathable, very flexible neoprene laminated with Velcro fabric on the outside and cotton fabric on the inside. It has a universal design that allows the use of one bandage for different sizes of knee joint, with a range from 28 to 50 cm. The structure is divided into separately adjustable areas above and below the knee joint. The use of Velcro fastener enables easy adjustment of the required compression ratio in each area and locking of the bandage to any of the available sizes. The splint provides a heating effect, it produces a micro-massage effect and a moderate compression effect. It improves blood circulation, stimulates metabolic processes in the skin, subcutaneous tissues, adipose tissue and muscles. The splint is used during the rehabilitation period after surgical operations in the knee joint area. In the event of falls and bruises, during sports exercise, as well as during physical activity - it protects against various injuries of the knee joint. Medical indications: - closed injuries and knee bruises; - cases of knee instability as well as prevention of relapses; - treatment of old meniscal injuries and in the event of neural blocks administered for knee instability; - after removal of the plaster bandage from the knee joint, after injuries and operations; - during the rehabilitation period after surgeries of the patellar ligament, meniscus, collateral ligaments of the knee joint, as well as after fractures and surgical operations in the knee joint area, in the event of dislocations of the patella and lower leg; - in cases, where the ligament apparatus of the knee joint becomes tired rapidly; - during sports or physical exercise. Contraindications: Individual incompatibility with any of the component materials of the product, severe local skin diseases, (use under medical supervision). Care instructions: We recommend washing by hand in a soap solution at a temperature of +40°C without the use of bleaches. Do not clean chemically, as the structure of neoprene degrades under the influence of acid and alkali solvents as well as lubricants. After washing, do not spin and tumble dry. It is recommended to gently squeeze out the water without wringing and dry the product in a spread manner. No less than at a distance of one metre from heating appliances. The product must not be dried in the sun or ironed. Do not iron.
