OverviewThe hot-melt mini-pleat HEPA and ULPA filter series is engineered for environments requiring stringent airborne contaminant control, including semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech and food processing facilities. The design balances high filtration efficiency with low pressure drop to minimize operating costs.
Design and ConstructionSpecifically developed for gel-seal grid systems, the filters feature knife-edge cell sides and media pack depths of 2 in, 3 in or 4 in. Hot-melt glue beads separate pleats within the media pack, enabling a compact depth compared with corrugated separators. The microglass media is bonded to an extruded aluminium frame with urethane adhesive to form an airtight seal. Media is water-resistant and fire-retardant.
PerformanceHEPA models are scan-tested to 99.99% efficiency using a non-DOP aerosol to verify absence of pinhole leaks. ULPA versions are laser-tested to 99.9995% efficiency at 0.10–0.20 μm. The mini-pleat geometry reduces resistance for the lowest possible pressure drop while maintaining high capture efficiency.
