This unit differs from our model 772-D by offering you the possibility of vacuum packing prior to heat-sealing. The vacuum pump is operated by a foot switch. A clamping bar closes the bag opening to avoid after-flowing of air. During the vacuum pump being in operation, the suction nozzle reaching out into the bag evacuates the trapped air. When this phase is completed, the sealing cycle automatically starts. Parallel to the closing movement of the top rail, the suction nozzle is simultaneously withdrawn from the sealing area, and the bag is heat-sealed. If the vacuum pump is not required, then it can be switched off and the suction nozzle locked into its resting position. The welding area is always free accessible for normal bag closing.
