Description
This module will take you through an open reduction and internal fixation of an ankle fracture (Ankle ORIF). The aim of treatment is to restore and maintain the normal anatomy of the ankle mortise. Incongruity of the ankle mortise is very poorly tolerated and will lead to abnormal loads on the articular cartilage. Open reduction and internal fixation (Ankle ORIF) may often be required.
