Description

The use of "Date-Rape Drugs" such as Rohypnol ("Roofies") and Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate ("GHB") is being reported more frequently in sexual assault cases throughout the country. Because of the amnesia effect of these drugs, the victim may not be able to remember all the details of the assault or may have difficulty identifying the assailant(s). Our Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault Specimen Collection Kits are designed to be used in conjunction with existing Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kits when victimizing drugs are suspected. The kit instruction sheets are written for medical personnel and assure proper collection and chain of custody. After the examination, the kit is handed over to the investigating officer, along with the Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit, for submission and analysis by the crime laboratory.
