general purpose compression bone screw / cannulated / cancellous
Part of bone:
Cannulated Screw System is intended for fixation of fractures, fusions, and osteotomies of large and small bones and consists of screws and washers.
The system comprises 16 mm - 32 mm partially or fully threaded screw implants using a cancellous thread form.
The partially threaded screws can be used to “lag screw” one bone fragment to another where the bone fragment is captured by the threads of the screw and pulled toward the fragment piece closest to the headed end of the screw.
Fully threaded screws are intended to stabilize fractures.
Cannulated screws are available in 4.0, 5.5 and 6.5 mm diameters.
Locking cannulated screws are fully threaded. Locking screwhead securely locks the screw to the plate to make a fixed-angle construct. Locking cannulated screws are available in 4.0, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.5 mm diameters.
Cannulated Screws can be easily used over a guide wire.
Screws are commonly used in the pelvis, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Femoral neck fractures, sacroiliac joint disruptions, tibial plateau and femoral intercondylar fractures, calcaneal fractures, talar fractures, ankle arthrodesis, subtalar arthrodesis, fracture of the distal femur, and humeral, olecranon application
