Short description
Rigid ankle brace with inflatable cushion to stabilize the joint.

Product purpose
For the treatment and prevention of ankle injuries, high ankle sprains, torn ligaments in the ankle area, stabilization and support in cases of chronic instability. The rigid fixator is used as treatment in the first days after the injury and provides strong bilateral fixation after an acute sprain.

Ankle stability
The brace fixes the ankle in the lateral plane while allowing forward-backward movement. It stabilizes the ankle joint during lateral movements (where the lateral ligaments are stretched), thus preventing harmful movement and protecting the sensitive area.

Planning and design
The product is comfortable to use and can be used with or without shoes. Two anatomically designed plastic splints serve as stabilizers for pronation-supination (inward and outward) movement of the ankle. There are two internal foam cushions with the option of inflating each one separately; these cushions improve the grip of the fixture on the ankle and help reduce swelling.

Rehabilitation and recovery
Partial immobilization of the ankle in the early stages supports faster recovery. Use of the rigid immobilizer together with conservative physiotherapy allows for faster recovery.

Daily activity
The rigid fixation gives the user confidence to return to walking and activity safely and with less pain. When used in the first days after injury, the brace accelerates the return from injury to function by allowing early activation in a controlled manner.

User manual

• It is recommended to consult a professional regarding the use of this product.
• Insert the transparent nozzle of the inflation pump into the upper opening of the outer cushion and inflate the outer cushion first, then inflate the inner cushion (the one closest to the other leg).
• Open the Velcro straps and insert the ankle between the two splints, with the heel resting on the bottom fabric strip.
• Close the Velcro straps and tighten them sufficiently to fix the ankle, but not so tight as to interfere with blood flow.
• It is recommended to combine the use of the product with ankle rehabilitation exercises; as the ankle condition improves, use of the rigid ankle brace can be reduced.
