OverviewThe VICI DBS FID Station is a hydrogen generator engineered to supply high-purity hydrogen for gas chromatography detectors (FID, NPD, FPD). Hydrogen is produced from distilled or deionized water via a Swiss-made fuel cell (electrolytic dissociation); oxygen is vented to air. No acids or alkaline solutions are used. A patented automatic drying system delivers very high hydrogen purity for analytical applications.
Key benefits- Reduce operating costs compared to gas cylinders
- Maintain consistent chromatographic performance
- Improve lab safety and workflow efficiency
- Choice of purity levels: 99.99996% or 99.9996%
Design and options- Hydrogen generation by Swiss-made fuel cell (electrolytic dissociation)
- Patented automatic drying system to maximize hydrogen purity
- Selected models feature internal system tanks with automatic deionized water loading (3 litre capacity)
- Optional zero air generator available (oil-free compressor not included) providing zero air with hydrocarbon content around 0.5 ppm
- Available in tower or rack-mount configurations
Applications- Designed for use with GC detectors including FID, NPD and FPD
