Vivafree™ 2 centrifugal ultrafiltration devices are intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use to rapidly separate free drugs and hormones from serum proteins for therapeutic drug monitoring and clinical hormone assays. They accept up to 2 ml starting volume and deliver rapid separations (typical 20–60 minutes) with high recovery and reproducible results. Devices are compatible with fixed-angle and swing-bucket rotors and are designed to fit 15 ml (17 mm) conical-bottom tube cavities.

Clinical applications

• Separation of free hormones (testosterone, insulin, cortisol).
• Sample preparation for therapeutic drug monitoring (phenytoin, valproic acid, antibiotics, immunosuppressants).
