Antiseptic cement based on tricrezolformaldehyde resin Tricredent
The material is used for filling root canals in case of apical periodontitis and pulpitis.
Do not use in case of arsenic periodontitis and root canal bleeding when treating pulpitis using a vital extirpation method.
Tricredent material is also used when filling canals using gutta-percha pins.
Tricredent dental material is produced as liquid and powder:
Tricredent liquid is a solution of tricresol-formaldehyde bakelite resin featuring an antiseptic effect.
Tricredent powder contains a radiopaque filler. At mixing of 1-2 volume parts of powder with 1 volume part of liquid, plastic radiopaque pastes forms, which obturates the canal perfectly, features no shrinkage and minimal coloring effect on tooth hard tissues. Hardening time is from 48 hours to 2-3 weeks (depending on consistency).
The material causes slight pain if contacting outside apex.
