Ligapro ® VS Maryland jaw is a hand‑activated vessel sealing device designed to seal and dissect vessels up to and including 7 mm, lymphatics and tissue bundles. The Maryland jaw provides improved access and visualization for blunt dissection while enabling grasping, cutting and reliable vessel sealing.

Key functional details
The device applies uniform pressure via a spring‑loaded handle and advanced micro blockers in the jaw. It integrates a mechanical inbuilt blade actuated by a single‑action trigger to transect tissue without exchanging instruments. A multi‑layer proprietary jaw and non‑stick coating reduce cool‑off time, limit lateral thermal spread and minimize tissue adherence. Outer jaw insulation reduces risk of unintended thermal injury; inner jaw serrations secure tissue during manipulation. Ergonomic lightweight design and 360° shaft rotation enable precise jaw placement.
