Bipolar Resectoscopy is using saline solution as irrigation media, the current is flowing between both distal ends of the electrodes, no current is flowing through the patient. The used saline solution can be dissolved by the body easily, is not hazardous and cheap. The TUR-syndrom can hence be avoided.
