Short description
The SMPE hydrophilic nonwoven is designed as a reinforcement material for disposable surgical drapes. It features a double-layer construction with a liquid-impermeable polyethylene (PE) film bonded to an absorbent nonwoven (PP/viscose); film-lamination to SMS nonwoven is also available.

Product description
The reinforcement layer provides rapid fluid uptake while the PE film prevents liquid penetration. Typical constructions include a three-layer nonwoven (hydrophilic polypropylene + meltblown) laminated to PE film. The material is intended to support sterile barriers and manage blood and body fluids during procedures.
