YMC PilotPLUS glass columns are completely biocompatible and characterised by safe and easy handling. Packing, operating and unpacking the column are all smooth procedures due to a number of significant advantages. Through an inclined surface on the glass body and the unique drain function, the piston can be inserted easily and bubble-free. The unique sealing principle combines sealing and frit fixation. This makes the frit and gasket removal very easy and tool-free. Due to the special frit construction, the flow path is optimised and the sample is distributed evenly across the column bed. This provides improved chromatographic results. The key for fast and easy unpacking of the glass column is the removable column body. It can be swiftly unlocked using the three locking bolts and turned to the upside-down position. This makes the unpacking step clean and quick to perform.
