Military emergency combat tourniquet, a.k.a. “CAT Tourniquet” is a small and lightweight one-handed tourniquet that completely occludes arterial blood flow in an extremity. Wrap the CAT tightly around the leg or arm to prevent the flow of blood to the leg or the arm for a period of time. A tournament may be used when drawing blood or to stop bleeding after an injury. Tourniquets work by squeezing large blood vessels. The squeezing helps stop blood loss.
