Description

The Plasma Collection Machine (PCM) is a device designed for blood component separation and collection. This is achieved by means of computer controlled and automated blood separation technology. Components collected by the PCM include plasma for use in therapeutic transfusion and source plasma which is conserved and subsequently fractionated. The PCM is designed to be used with a single use disposable set called the PS (Plasma Separator) which provides a sterile pathway for the blood collection, separation and component receptacle. The PCM incorporates the following features: • Self-loading pumps • Advanced design air detectors and blood flow monitors • State of the art optical sensors for cellular detection • Centrifuge well fluid sensor • Pressure monitor for donor flow line • Smart return feature • Advanced plasma weigher Technical Information Product Category: Group 1, Class I, BF, IPX1 Dimensions in mm (approximate): PCM520 x 310 x 440 Packing size 770 x 555 x790 Weight (approximate): Net weight 28kg Gross weight 55kg Power requirements.
