Product Overview
The Alarm Integration Module receives and records alarm notifications from a range of medical devices (patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, incubators, etc.) and forwards them to central nurse call systems and designated mobile applications to support timely clinical response.

Centralized Monitoring System
Acts as a central monitoring component within the nurse call solution. It receives device data and maintains structured records of:

• alarm notifications
• alarm types
• triggering readings
• patient information
• device information

Alarm Handling
Active sensor readings and triggered alarms are displayed on a centralized dashboard accessible to healthcare teams. The interface provides audio and visual indicators to highlight alarm status and context for rapid assessment.

Forwarding to Mobile Applications
Alarm notifications are forwarded to mobile applications on smartphones used by designated staff, enabling immediate alerts and acknowledgement workflows regardless of caregiver location within the facility.

Alert Prioritization and Escalation
The system supports configurable prioritization rules and escalation workflows, routing events by severity and role. Custom scenarios can direct critical alarms to on-call clinicians or trigger facility protocols (for example Code Blue procedures).

Integration with Hospital Information System (HIS)
Alarm events and device metadata can be integrated into the hospital information system to ensure relevant clinical IT records and workflows include device-originated events.
