In 2009 the Belgian family business MATTTEO was specifically founded to improve and optimise logistics in the healthcare sector. The long-time experience in healthcare logistics of the founders gave MATTTEO the necessary know-how to develop a unique solution which combines a fully equipped modular storage and transport system with a real time RFID tracing system. This way, MATTTEO is able to store, transport, monitor and manage products in all departments of hospitals and care institutions. On top of that, our RFID system also offers you the possibility to implement a Real Time Locating System (RTLS).

Since day one, we at MATTTEO develop and produce as much products as possible ourselves. This allows us to develop our products in such a way that they do not only comply with the strict quality standards in the healthcare industry but also score highly in terms of user-friendliness, ergonomics and aesthetics. Good examples to prove this point are our modular systems MODUL-iT and MODU-FLEX.

For production, we try to work with highly specialised local partners. Apart from the obvious adavantages for the environment, this also results in a great flexibility towards our customers. For us, it is way easier to act or react quickly when production takes place in Belgium and not in for instance China.

From the beginning MATTTEO strived to turn the modular storage system intelligent. We opted to work with RFID, because this technology allows their system to gather all necessary information in real time and send it directly to the central warehouse, the pharmacy or even to a third party (e.g. suppliers). The RFID-tags, in combination with the antennas, give you a constantly updated overview of the stocks or the locations of your assets throughout the hospital. This is not only time-saving, but the system also provides the logistics management with transparent and accurate data for further optimisation of the logistic flows.
