The device has no external wires, making it especially simple to implant. The logger is hermetically sealed for biocompatibility. Correlation Between Heart Rate and Activity: Enables researchers to identify correlations between heart rate and activity, useful in stress response studies. Available with two or three sensors: activity and temperature, or activity, heart rate, and temperature. Leadless ECG Derived Heart Rate: Heart rate is derived from a leadless single-channel ECG. Electrodes are part of the housing, making implantation easy. The logger takes burst ECG measurements at set intervals and calculates mean heart rate for each recording. Each burst is graded with a QI (quality index) accessible in the application software. Overview of Changes in Animal Activity Over Time: Measures acceleration-derived activity, allowing monitoring of changes in animal activity over time. Measures acceleration in three dimensions relative to earth's gravity field. Stress-Free Long-Term Studies: Battery life exceeds 19 months with a 10-minute sampling interval. The software calculates memory and battery life based on settings. After data retrieval, the logger can be sterilized and reused as long as the battery lasts.
