Amolab is an innovative SME, founded in Lecce in 2011 as a spin-off of the National Research Council and specialises in the research, development, design and production of revolutionary ultrasound devices for diagnostic imaging. Its vocation for researching new solutions is confirmed by its registration in the special section of the Innovative Companies Register. The company has several patents for industrial inventions in the field of medical devices to its credit and is rapidly expanding commercially in all continents.
Amolab has brought to the market the first and only technological solution for both the safe, automatic and quantitative monitoring of the progression of childbirth and the rapid and non-invasive investigation of lung health, eliminating operator dependence and reducing the possibility of human error. The system developed is based on a patented technology (National Research Council Patent No. EP2375980) and unique in the world, which integrates quantitative ultrasound hardware and software (QUS) in an advanced system that overcomes the limitations of traditional ultrasound due essentially to qualitative and operator-dependent assessments.
