The mother company Officine Meccaniche Pejrani srl (OMP) was founded in 1973 by Engineer Carlo Pejrani. The core business of OMP was design and construction of sheet metal parts, in the automotive sector.
The global interest in eco-friendly projects led Officine Meccaniche Pejrani to expand its business into the research and development of new low carbon technologies related to pollution control.
In 2001 the environmental division of Officine Meccaniche Pejrani: OMPeco was established to meet this demand. In the same year OMP patented and began production of the Converter process.
OMPECO’s products,therefore, are created not only with the purpose of treating waste without emissions,but also at improving the entire logistics chain in terms of emissions reduction. This process has transformed the traditional approach in waste treatment, allowing the treatment of waste directly on site.

Converters are sold worldwide tailormade to the specific needs of our customers across many industries.
In 2014 OMPeco was launched as OMPECO s.r.l. as a separate company.

OMPECO plants receive, operate and transform mixed waste within a single plant in a clean, odorless and silent environment, being compatible with the City infrastructures and drastically reducing waste transportation costs.
The incoming waste can be any unsorted and mixed waste, variable in size, moisture content, including biological hazardous waste.
