OverviewThe Ozone DTA is an ozone generator designed for dental, dermatological and veterinary treatments. It provides pain-free disinfection, faster wound healing and longer-lasting efficacy by applying ozone (O3), which decomposes into O2 and atomic oxygen that eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi while stimulating tissue oxygenation.
Key benefits- Eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi in approximately 40 seconds for rapid, pain-free disinfection
- High-concentration ozone at the application site to activate tissue and accelerate healing
- Instant ozone generation at the probe tip with low overall ozone volume to limit excess ozone in the environment
- Easy operation with multilevel preset ozone concentration programs for different clinical indications
- Five dedicated, fully sterilizable probes to reach and fit different anatomical areas
- Optional injection kits (3 c.c. and 10 c.c.) available for deeper root canal procedures or sensitive patient care
- Supported by multiple clinical reports for safe and reliable use
How Ozone DTA worksThe device uses plasma electrodes to generate high-concentration ozone at the probe tip while keeping total ozone volume low. Ozone contacts the target tissue instantly and oxidizes into O2 and atomic oxygen, promoting disinfection and local tissue oxygenation.
Programs and operationOzone DTA offers seven preset programs (6 presets + 1 user-customizable): ACT (activate), GIN (gingival), ENDO (endodontics), IMP (implant), HEMO (hemostasis), INJ (injection) and one self-controlled program. Time, intensity and repetition frequency can be adjusted according to treatment area size, pH and severity; clinicians determine the appropriate intensity per individual therapy.
Practice indications / Applications- Dentistry: caries management, tooth extraction site disinfection, endodontic procedures, hemostasis and general oral disinfection
- Dermatology: skin treatments and wound care
- Veterinary: indicated uses and examples provided in product materials
Certifications & regulatory notesOzone DTA is registered in the EUDAMED database, holds a European CE certificate and is listed in US FDA device listings. The manufacturer's Medical Device Directive (MDD) CE was extended to 31 December 2028. The manufacturer notes that the US FDA has not officially approved it for all uses; regulatory acceptance of ozone therapies varies by state and territory.
