Description

Subtitle
Designed for low- to mid-volume clinical laboratories requiring automated random-access chemistry testing.

Overview
The DxC 500 AU is a fully automated clinical chemistry analyzer providing random-access testing with STAT capability. The system standardizes user experience, test menus and quality control to support consistent results across a laboratory network. It supports ready-to-use reagents, continuous sample loading and a refrigerated reagent carousel for consolidated reagent storage.

Key benefits
  • Standardized user interface, menus and protocols to reduce operator variability and simplify training
  • Barcoded reagents and consolidated reagent storage to facilitate inventory control and traceability
  • Continuous loading and integrated STAT handling to maintain workflow during variable sample inflow

Workflow and sample handling
DxLAB sample racks accept primary tubes and nested cups for calibrators, QC and patient samples in a single rack. Continuous loading allows processing of samples as they arrive without pre-sorting. A refrigerated STAT carousel accommodates urgent samples alongside routine runs.

Reagent management
Refrigerated reagent carousel with 76 positions supports 15 mL, 30 mL and 60 mL bottles. Barcoded reagents provide automatic tracking of available tests, expiration dates and lot numbers. Reagent volume range: 10 µL–250 µL (1 µL increments).

Performance highlights
  • Throughput: up to 400 photometric tests/hour; up to 800 photometric tests/hour with ISE configuration
  • ISE maximum: up to 600 tests/hour if configured for ISE only
  • HbA1c maximum: up to 65 tests/hour if configured for HbA1c only
