Description

Product Name: Total Triiodothyronine Detection Kit ( Magnetic Solid Phase Chemiluminescent Immunoassay) Packaging: 24 T/KIT Intended Use: This product is used for the in vitro quantification of total triiodothyronine (TT3) in human serum. Triiodothyronine (T3) is an important thyroid hormone that acts on various target organs and has a molecular weight of 651 and a half-life of 1.5 days in plasma. Approximately 80% of T3 is formed in peripheral tissues and is converted from T4 by deiodination with the action of deiodinase, while the rest is released into the circulation by hydrolysis of thyroglobulin. T3 is transported by binding to serum transport proteins, mainly thyroxine-binding globulin (TBG), prealbumin and albumin, and only about 0.4% of T3 is free, but free T3 (FT3) is the only hormone with true biological activity. The concentration of TT3 in the body is influenced by the concentration of thyroid hormone-binding proteins, while FT3 is not, and TT3 and FT3 are in dynamic balance to maintain normal thyroid function. TT3 plays an important role in maintaining normal thyroid function and has a higher bioactivity than TT4, so quantitative measurement of TT3 is valuable in the early diagnosis of thyroid disease. Patients with hyperthyroidism, hyper-TBGemia, hyperthyroidism treatment, etc. have significantly higher TT3 levels; correspondingly, hypothyroidism, low TT3 syndrome, and low TBGemia have low TT3 levels.
