OverviewPL 130 is a low-temperature vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VH2O2) sterilizer for terminal sterilization of packaged medical devices and surgical instruments sensitive to heat and humidity. Chamber capacity: ~143 L (single-door) or ~148 L (double-door). Suitable for metal, metal alloys, light non-metallic alloys, robotic and micro-surgery systems, and compatible with stainless steel, precious metals, ceramics, plastics and 3D-printed resins.
Applications and compatibility- Terminal sterilization of packaged medical devices and surgical instruments
- Compatible materials: stainless steel, silver, gold, platinum, tungsten, ceramic, plastics, 3D-printed resins
- Instruments with lumens: up to 2200 mm length and minimum Ø 0.5 mm (single, double and triple channels)
Sterilization technology and consumableVaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization operating at low pressure and low temperature to protect instruments and reduce energy consumption. Uses the SteelcoPro PL sterilant supplied in a single-use RFID-identified cartridge with poka-yoke design to prevent reuse, incorrect refilling or use after expiry. Cartridge RFID provides batch, expiry date and sterilant quantity data.
Control, operation and ergonomicsAvailable in single-door or double-door versions with an automatic space-saving sliding door. Controlled by a PLC digital microprocessor and a 10" colour touch-screen HMI. Loading/unloading at ergonomic height (loading height 920 mm). Optional foot pedal for contactless door operation.
Pre-programmed cycles (High Performance)Five factory-programmed cycles validated and selectable from the control panel:
- Fast — for non-lumened instruments with or without articulations
- Flex — for flexible endoscopes, including Da Vinci® instruments
- Standard — for mixed loads: flexible, rigid and semi-rigid lumened and non-lumened instruments
- Intensive — for more challenging dimensions in mixed loads
- Superfast — ultra-fast cycle for reduced loads (on request)
Process quality and monitoringIncludes humidity check to control and remove excess moisture, redundant sensors for real-time chamber pressure and temperature monitoring, and option for an external plasma generator. Chemical and biological indicators (including rapid-read) and associated incubators with traceability software are available. Traceability can be automatic via digital solutions or manual.
Key product features- Small footprint due to sliding door design
- Excellent penetration into hollow instruments (lumens min Ø 0.5 mm, length up to 2200 mm)
- Plug & Play models ready for quick start-up
- Loading flexibility with semi-extractable shelves, baskets and inserts
- Reduced H2O2 emissions (triple safety system) to near zero
- Optional RFID or barcode recognition for operator/load identification
Certifications & standardsDesigned to comply with EN ISO 14937 (performance) and related safety and software standards (EN ISO 14971, EN 61010-1/2-040, EN IEC 61326-1, EN 62366-1, EN 62304). Classified as CE0051 legacy medical device (Directive 93/42/EEC, MDD).
