Description

The Dual Wireless EGG BioNomadix Transmitter is a module specifically designed to measure Electrogastrogram (EGG) data—the peristaltic, wavelike contractions of the stomach—on one or both channels. Using AcqKnowledge, wide bandwidth EGG data can be filtered to lower values to accommodate closer inspection of specific EGG frequencies, such as Bradygastria, Normogastria and Tachygastria or identification of ECA and ERA. To extract a bipolar measurement between two unipolar measurements referenced to a common abdominal electrode site, use the equation generator in AcqKnowledge. EGG signal data is transmitted at a rate of 2,000 Hz, providing an extremely high resolution EGG waveform at the receiver’s output. Raw data from the pair is bandlimited from 0.005 Hz to 1.0 Hz, to provide a very high quality recording. The matched pair incorporates internal highpass and lowpass filters to provide for high quality amplification of the EGG waveform with associated Electrical Control Activity (ECA) and Electrical Response Activity (ERA). The high signal to noise ratio and high time-based sampling resolution permit the pair to be used for specific gastric slow wave propagation measurements, gastrointestinal motility analysis, peristaltic propagation studies or migrating myoelectric complex evaluation. Use with a BioNomadix Logger or matched Receiver. The matched pair emulates a “wired” connection from subject to computer, with all the benefits of a fully-wireless recording system. Collect data from two sites with either unipolar (referential) or bipolar setup.
