BIO-CIS2 is software designed to improve repeatability of nociceptive reflex tests by displaying force versus time in real time. It helps the operator identify and invalidate off‑limit results and supports transfer of raw data to Excel for further analysis.

Usage modes

• Run a predefined number of trials and later invalidate off‑limit results based on the recorded force ramp.
• Follow a theoretical ramp on screen in real time and individually select correct results to save.
• Import raw data directly from instruments into an Excel spreadsheet for sequential (pedal‑driven) or bulk analysis.

Operating principle

• After launching a preset or custom protocol, the application waits for sensor values above the start threshold.
• When force reaches the start threshold, the force/time curve is displayed in real time.
• Measurement stops when the experiment duration is reached or if force falls below the lower threshold set by the operator.
• At the end of measurement the operator can keep the recorded curve or erase and redo it; the MAX (peak) value is stored with date/time and animal/trial ID and can be exported in xls or txt formats.
• The software can superimpose force ramps to assess repeatability and includes save/load trial functions.

Connection

• Direct connection via standard RS232 DB9 serial port.
• Connection via USB serial converter for modern laptops (adapter can be provided).
