Description
Human plasma is the liquid fraction of whole blood from which cellular components have been removed by anticoagulation during collection. Fibrinogen and coagulation factors are preserved. Plasma contains hormones, antibodies, antigens and other proteins, as well as salts and fatty acids.

Origin & controls
Processed from human blood collected on citrate phosphate dextrose (CPD) from volunteer donors. This reference is a pooled material from multiple blood groups and genders. Origin: Europe, USA (approved countries). Each batch is tested for sterility, endotoxin and hemoglobin levels, osmolality and cell culture performance. Serological screening includes HIV‑1/2, Hepatitis B (HBs) and Hepatitis C (HCV).
