Product overviewHuman serum is the cell-free liquid fraction of human blood obtained after natural coagulation without anticoagulant, collected from volunteer donors. This product is supplied as a pooled AB male serum and provided frozen.
Key properties and useAB serum lacks antibodies against A and B antigens, reducing immunoreactivity. It is used where control of serum-derived immunoreactivity is critical, such as in cell therapy research, transplantation studies and certain in vitro assays.
Quality controls & screeningEach batch is tested for sterility, endotoxin levels, hemoglobin content, osmolality and cell culture performance. Infectious disease screening is performed for HIV-1/2, Hepatitis B (HBs) and Hepatitis C (HCV) on every lot.
Origin & regulatoryOrigin: Europe, USA (approved countries). The serum is collected or imported and processed in compliance with applicable European regulations. Handling and distribution of human-derived products in Europe require authorization; in France specific authorization is issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
