CalproLab ELISA (ALP) RUO is an ELISA based test for detection of Calprotectin. Calprotectin is a general inflammatory biomarker released from neutrophils during activation and turnover, and is therefore an important biomarker for inflammation and bacterial/ fungal infection. The kit has been validated for EDTA plasma and faeces, but can also be run on other bodily fluids. CalproLab ELISA (ALP) RUO can be used for human and non-human primates such as Rhesus and Cynomolgus monkeys, and is a very useful tool in pre-clinical drug development during NHP trials for safety and toxicity screen, as well as during clinical trials for disease monitoring and response to treatment. This product uses ALP for signalling measured at 405 nm. The range of the test is 5-500 ng/ mL. The test is performed in a standard 96 strip-based plate, with up to 80 wells available for samples. It is also possible to run samples on automated ELISA instruments, and has been validated by manufacturer for Dynex DS2, and program for this can be supplied if needed.
