Description

The Celitron’s Integrated Sterilizer and Shredder ISS 25L model is designed for hazardous medical waste treatment in hospitals, clinics and dialysis centers. This compact machine is a steam sterilizer with an integrated shredder in correspondance with the EU and WHO recommendations. The stainless steel chamber is equipped with powerful crushing blades, which has the ability to turn with RPM 400-1700 in both directions in order to reduce the volume of the waste down to 20%. Shredding the waste is important as it not only reduces the waste volume / size, but also enhances the steam penetration therefore improves the overall sterilization results. The system comes with internal steam generator, built-in printer, microprocessor based control system and waste suction system for easy and safe unload. Also can be customized with a range of accessories according to the user’s needs. Operation is very simple, load the waste into the chamber, close the door and press the Start Button. The cycle will run automatically. The total cycle time can take as fast as 15-20 minutes and between 2 to 4 kg of waste can be processed. After treated in the ISS, the waste is sterile. The liquid components of the waste are steamed out of the vessel, re-condensed and drained to a municipal sewer. The waste is rendered, fragmented, non-toxic, largely solid and dry and therefore safe to be disposed as regular municipal waste.
