Introduction- Equipment purpose: The device measures end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2) and airway respiration rate (AwRR) using mainstream technology.
- Patient population: Adults, children and infants.
- Applicable locations: Emergency department, ICU, operating room and respiratory department.
Use requirementThe device must be used with a ventilator or anaesthetic machine. It connects to the patient via an airway adapter (applied part) and a breathing tube. The breathing tube (except the airway adapter) is not part of the device. The ventilator or anaesthetic machine must be CE-compliant.
Features- End-tidal CO2 measurement
- Respiration rate (AwRR) measurement
- Optional three units
- Audible and visual alarms with mute function; configurable alarm limits
- Over-limit alarms for ETCO2 and respiration rate
- Low battery alarm
- Adapter-off prompt
- User-accessible zero calibration
- Atmospheric pressure and temperature compensation
- Power: 2 × AAA dry batteries, typical operation up to 4 hours
