Based on over 40 years’ expertise in oil-free piston compressors, the MC series provides a compact, low-vibration solution for main air supply on rail vehicles. Units are built to withstand extreme conditions and can be customised to vehicle-specific installation requirements, including dryer and welded frame options.

Customised compressed air generation systemMC series main air compressors are suitable for a wide variety of vehicle types and can be configured to meet specific installation constraints. Dryer units and welded frames are adapted individually to the vehicle type and installation situation.
Motors and driveThe compressor is driven by a continuous-duty motor designed for rail applications and optimised for operation with a frequency converter (supports IE3 / IE1 motors and frequency conversion).
Vibration dampingThe MC series uses robust wire-rope vibration dampers to protect both compressor and vehicle from severe vibrations and ensure trouble-free operation over the service life. Rubber-element dampers are available as an alternative.
Oil-free operation — environmental and operational benefitsOil-free compressors eliminate the need for oil handling and disposal, reducing operating costs and environmental impact. Benefits include:
