The MYCOFAST® Screening RevolutioN kit and its Complement MYCOFAST® RevolutioN 2 enable a complete diagnosis in 2 steps for urogenital mycoplasma diagnosis in various clinical specimens. It’s an accurate and easy-to-use colorimetric assay designed for the detection, enumeration, identification and antibiotic susceptibility determination of Ureaplasma urealyticum (U.u.) and Mycoplasma hominis (M.h.) from urogenital specimens. The MYCOFAST® Screening approach provides the same results than with the direct method (MYCOFAST® RevolutioN 2) but in an additional 24/48 hours. It can be chosen for economic reasons sometimes, or to reduce operation time on negative specimens. The screening step (MYCOFAST® Screening RevolutioN) allows the detection and differentiation of U.u. and M.h. after 24/48 hours of incubation. In case of a positive result, the second step (Complement MYCOFAST® RevolutioN 2) will provide further information.
