Overview
The Episealer® Patellofemoral System is indicated for patients with isolated osteoarthritis of the patellofemoral joint. It comprises patient-specific implants for both the femur and the patella, designed to preserve bone by treating only the damaged areas of the joint.

Femoral Component
The femoral component is manufactured from a cobalt‑chromium alloy (Co‑Cr‑Mo). The portion of the component seated within bone and cartilage is titanium‑coated to provide a roughened surface for initial stability. Femoral shapes are available in circular or elongated form (two overlapping circles).

Patellar Component
The patellar component is produced in Vitamin E enhanced Ultra‑High‑Molecular‑Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE).

Personalized Instruments
Each implant is supplied with an individualized drill guide (Epiguide) and a dedicated set of surgical instruments tailored to the patient anatomy to ensure optimal implant fit. The instrument set includes the Epiguide, Epidrill, drilling socket and adjustment socket, enabling precise depth adjustment (0.2 mm).
